Duties and Responsibilities
. Provide legal and administrative support to lawyers across a range of practice areas.
. Assist lawyers with preparing legal documentation (e.g., closing documents, officer's certificates etc.)
. Assist lawyers and the administrative team with administrative tasks, including filing, billing, AML checks and business development activities.
. Liaise directly with clients where necessary on AML documents, billing, meetings and matter-specific affairs.
Skills/Experience
. Degree in Legal Studies
. Strong academic record.
. Legal work experience preferable e.g. previous experience as a paralegal.
. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
. Excellent writing and drafting skills.
. Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills.
. Excellent attention to detail, listening skills and organisational skills.
. Ability to effectively manage own workload.
. Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and develop strong relationships both with clients and colleagues across the firm.
. Flexibility and ability to adapt in order to assist across a range of practice areas
. Personable and confident, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
. Resilient and calm under pressure.
. Demonstrates a pragmatic and flexible approach with the ability to think laterally.
. Proactive and takes initiative.
. Strong organisational skills with a flexible, positive can-do approach to work.
