Role
We are currently seeking a Packaging Engineer with strong conceptual and engineering skills to enable global scale through packaging development, validation, and implementation with our international manufacturing footprint. This is a unique opportunity to work with an inventive, user-centered team that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronic device packaging for Ring, Blink, Key, and Sidewalk worldwide.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end packaging development for Ring, Blink, and Amazon Key hardware products, from concept to mass production
- Develop and implement packaging strategies aligned with brand identity, cost targets, and packout automation initiatives
- Conduct DFM analysis and manufacturing feasibility assessments to inform packaging design decisions
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams across US and Asia to ensure manufacturing feasibility and quality standards
- Leverage supplier capabilities and manufacturing partnerships to expand design and development support
- Execute packaging validation processes, including ISTA testing protocols
- Conduct detailed engineering studies and provide risk evaluation to design teams
- Attend packaging builds and provide reports to engineering and core teams; support issue resolution throughout the development cycle
- Maintain and document packaging specifications, standards, and best practices
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures
- - Experience with packaging development for high-volume manufacturing
- - Ability to work across time zones and travel internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
