Overview Of The Position
BizLink is seeking a highly analytical and precise Optical Engineer to join our advanced R&D team. Focusing on cutting-edge fiber optic and photonic technologies, you will be instrumental in the assembly, alignment, and testing of complex optical arrays and components. By collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams and external suppliers, you will drive the development of high-precision optical solutions and ensure a seamless technology transfer from R&D to mass production. This role is highly suited for Master's graduates with a strong theoretical foundation and practical hands-on experience in optics, materials, or physics.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precision assembly and rigorous testing of single-mode, polarization-maintaining (PM), and multi-mode fiber arrays.
- Conduct characteristic measurements and detailed characterizations for optical lens arrays and prisms.
- Execute the precise alignment, assembly, and testing of single-mode and PM fiber arrays integrated with optical lens arrays.
- Collaborate closely with various suppliers to provide measurement data feedback, discuss process optimizations, and resolve technical issues.
- Draft, review, and verify mechanical design drawings specifically related to optical components and structural housing.
- Work cross-functionally with optical simulation, data analysis, and mechanical design engineers to design products, verify performance, and engage in comprehensive technical discussions.
- Compile, organize, and systematically archive all experimental data and technical documentation.
- Lead and manage the seamless technology transfer process from the R&D phase through to pre-mass production.
- Execute other advanced engineering projects and ad-hoc R&D assignments as directed by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Master's degree in Optics, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Entry-level candidates and highly motivated fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply; no prior professional working experience is strictly required.
- Solid intermediate-high proficiency in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing), specifically requiring a TOEIC score of 605 or above for technical communication.
- Practical experience in the design, manufacturing, and measurement of optical glass components.
- Hands-on knowledge and experience in optical Anti-Reflective (AR) and High-Reflective (HR) coating processes and related measurements.
- Proven experience in the precision alignment assembly and measurement of active and passive optical elements, such as lasers, detectors, and prisms.
- Demonstrated ability in fiber array testing and alignment assembly, encompassing standard single-mode, PM single-mode, multi-mode, and multi-core fibers.
- Strong capability in optical-related mechanical structure design with practical experience in generating accurate 3D CAD models and drawings.
