The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. Key Responsibilities:
1. People & Team Leadership / Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with R&D, Engineering, and Business Development teams to translate new designs into manufacturable products.
- Support management in capacity expansion, facility upgrades, and technology-transfer initiatives.
- Provide regular reports and operational insights to management and headquarters.
- Supervise and mentor production supervisors, engineers, and line staff (30 employees total).
- Coordinate with third-party manufacturers (hardware/equipment) to ensure products are manufactured according to schedule, quality, and specifications.
- Foster a performance-driven, collaborative culture across departments.
2. Operations Management
- Oversee all factory operations across the company to ensure budgets, forecasts, and sales targets remain on track.
- Manage end-to-end workflows from forecasting, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
- Optimize resource allocation, production flow, and manpower planning to enhance efficiency and improve margins.
- Drive key operational KPIs including productivity, yield, lead time, and equipment utilization.
3. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, and internal QA/QC standards.
- Work closely with the QA department on batch record reviews, deviation handling, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and facility validation programs.
4. Supply Chain & Inventory
- Manage procurement planning and supplier coordination for key raw materials and components.
- Maintain accurate inventory control for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products.
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to support new product introduction (NPI) and scale-up.
5. Continuous Improvement & Cost Control
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase yield and reduce waste.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and root-cause analysis.
- Monitor and control factory operating costs, capital expenditures, and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with existing product lines or services is preferred.
- Master's degree or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 8 years of management or senior management experience.
- Familiar with management reports, financial analysis, and operational management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to and integrate different cultural backgrounds.
