Team Overview
The Operations Excellence team acts as the central nerve center for our logistics network. Our core job is to serve as the central guardians of process standards. We don't just watch the operations; we actively hunt for defects, perform deep-dive analyses on operational bottlenecks, and collaborate with site leaders to fix them. Our goal is to ensure our customers receive a perfect experience every time during our rapid international expansion.
Role Overview
As an Operations Excellence Specialist, you will drive the auditing and stewardship of customer experience and process standards across our Fulfillment Centers (large warehouses) and Hubs (sortation centers where packages flow in to be sorted by area for delivery). You will be responsible for identifying root causes of daily issues and managing cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions. This is a critical individual contributor role where you will act as a guardian of quality execution.
What You Will Do
- Audit Operations: Audit daily operations at Fulfillment Centers and Hubs to ensure strict adherence to global process standards.
- Solve Problems: Perform deep-dive analyses on defects and operational bottlenecks to identify systemic issues.
- Influence Change: Manage site-level teams through influence to drive corrective actions and process improvements without direct reporting lines.
- Troubleshoot: Lead daily troubleshooting sessions with operators to resolve immediate quality risks.
- Monitor Health: Develop and monitor KPIs to track the health of warehouse and sortation operations and their impact on the customer.
- Communicate Solutions: Report findings and data-driven insights to senior stakeholders to facilitate central decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in high-volume environments, such as factories, warehouses, sortation logistics, or operations auditing.
- Critical Thinking: Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and deep dives into operational issues.
- Communication: Excellent skills in translating complex operational issues into actionable improvement plans.
- Project Management: Ability to manage cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Process Tools: Familiarity with Lean or Quality tools (e.g., 5-Whys, Fishbone diagrams, or Six Sigma concepts).
- Industry Knowledge: Background in e-commerce fulfillment or last-mile logistics operations.
- Standardization: Experience in global process standardization or international business expansion.
