OpenBMC Engineer

What You Will Work On

• Upstream collaboration with the OpenBMC community
• Development of next-generation server platform management firmware
• Integration of OpenBMC features with OCP ecosystem platforms

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain OpenBMC-based BMC firmware
• Implement and maintain D-Bus services and platform management features
• Integrate platform components using Yocto / OpenEmbedded
• Submit patches through OpenBMC mailing lists and Gerrit workflows
• Collaborate with maintainers and community developers within the OpenBMC / OCP ecosystem
• Support firmware debugging and platform integration

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Experience in Linux embedded system development
• Familiar with OpenBMC architecture
• Experience developing D-Bus services
• Experience with Yocto / OpenEmbedded build system
• Strong Git workflow experience

Preferred Skills

• Experience contributing to OpenBMC / Linux upstream
• Experience with server management protocols (MCTP / PLDM / IPMI / Redfish)
• Experience debugging embedded Linux systems
• Experience with ASPEED BMC platforms (AST2500 / AST2600 / AST2700)
• English communication
