As a Site Engineer at LAUTEC, you will contribute to a large-scale offshore wind project, supporting the safe and successful delivery of critical energy infrastructure. You will play a central role in coordinating site activities, managing interfaces between disciplines, and ensuring construction progresses according to schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
The Role
The Site Engineer is a key site-based role supporting the successful delivery of the Onshore Substation scope for a major offshore wind project. Working closely with the Site Manager, Package Manager, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams, you will be responsible for driving coordination across construction activities, ensuring readiness for execution, and supporting safe, high-quality, and on-schedule project delivery. Acting as a central interface between Civil, MEP, and HV disciplines, you will play a critical role in maintaining progress, resolving site interfaces, and ensuring compliance with project, safety, and quality requirements throughout the construction phase.
What You Will Do
- Planning, Schedule, and Site Coordination
- Support tracking of daily and weekly construction progress.
- Manage the task readiness tracker and ensure preparatory requirements (permits, materials, design clarity) are met in advance.
- Attend weekly meetings to support minute recording and action item tracking.
- Follow up with key personnel to ensure task planning is reviewed and interface issues are closed out.
- Assist Site Manager and contractor with the preparation and fulfillment of work plan requirements.
- Draft report for site weekly status update
- Assist in the coordination of complex interfaces (e.g., Civil, MEP/HV).
- Quality Assurance and Documentation
- Assist Site Manager to ensure construction deliverables meet project quality requirements. Support tracking of weekly Punch List and NCR (NonConformity Report) status.
- Support As-built Dossier setup, review documents, and prepare for O&M handover.
- Assist with Design Review and MOC (Management of Change) coordination (with FM HSE & PECL/SH POC)
- Site Logistics and Administration Support
- Coordinate and follow up site material requirements with the SH POC
- In-charge of monthly site supplies and delivery coordination
- Assist Site Manager with monthly payment register updates.
- Organize team building events between site teams and contractors.
- Act as the POC for visitor management (cross-functional teams and 3rd party professionals).
- Safety and Compliance
- Assisting Site Manager with tracking of the safety observations identified on site are improved and closed out in a timely manner.
- Tasks Assigned by the Package Manager (PM)
What Are We Looking For
- Professional working proficiency in English language, both written and spoken.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction site coordination, site engineering, or site management roles in offshore wind, energy, construction, or large infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities.
- Experience supporting construction planning, work preparation, contractor coordination, and quality assurance processes, including punch list tracking, NCR management, and handover documentation.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills combined with excellent communication, stakeholder management, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work on-site full time, in Taichung.
