Job Description

The applicant must possess

CIC is driving the adoption of smart FM technologies to improve operational efficiency and user experience across its premises. We are looking for enthusiastic in-service personnel who are keen to combine facilities management expertise with innovation and digital transformation.

  1. a recognised degree, preferably in Facilities Management (FM), Building Services Engineering, Information Technology (IT), or other technology-related, engineering, construction or built environment disciplines
  2. a minimum of 3 years post-qualification relevant hands-on experience in facilities management, project management, repair and maintenance (R&M), building services operations, preferably with experience in supervising contractors and service providers
  3. knowledge or exposure to FM technologies, digital FM solutions, building automation systems, etc., preferably with experience in supporting, implementing or enhancing technology-driven initiatives or smart FM solutions. The candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in innovation and continuous improvement in FM
  4. experience or knowledge of low voltage (LV), extra low-voltage (ELV) systems or IT infrastructure, including CCTV, access control, security alarm systems, IP telephone, IoT devices, networking, and cybersecurity principles, would be an advantage.
  5. a proactive, flexible, and solution oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet organizational objectives, be willing to work overtime on Saturdays, Sundays, or Public Holidays when required and
  6. good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with experience in preparing technical specifications, manuals, maintenance schedules, tender documents, reports, and discussion papers will be an advantage.

Duties include
  1. to implement repair and maintenance plans, programmes, and projects for all CIC premises, and provide on-site technical support to ensure facilities and building systems operate efficiently and reliably
  2. to assist in standardising and centralising repair and maintenance contracts across all CIC premises, and in preparing maintenance term contracts and tender documents
  3. to handle ad-hoc and emergency repair and maintenance requests, and provide technical support in the preparation of regular operational, maintenance, incident, and status reports
  4. to support the implementation, integration and continuous improvement of FM technologies and smart building solutions, including digital maintenance management systems, automation tools, IoT applications, AI-enabled solutions, and data-driven facilities management initiatives, in collaboration with IT and user departments
  5. to identify opportunities for improving maintenance efficiency, service quality, asset performance, and user experience through the application of emerging FM technologies and industry best practices
  6. to coordinate proactively with internal user departments and stakeholders, including Procurement and Finance to achieve the service pledges and operational objectives of the Estates Office
  7. to assist in monitoring the annual repair and maintenance budget for all CIC premises, and
  8. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.
