Business Function

Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank's risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage delinquent accounts and execute collection strategies to minimize credit losses and maximize recovery.
• Contact customers to negotiate mutually agreeable payment plans and resolve outstanding balances.
• Assess customer financial situations and recommend appropriate restructuring or repayment solutions.
• Ensure all collection activities comply with internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including credit risk and legal teams, to resolve complex cases.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of customer interactions and payment agreements in the collection system.
• Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to regular risk management reports.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in collections, credit control, or debt recovery within the banking or financial services sector.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage challenging customer conversations effectively.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to assess financial data and make sound decisions.
• Familiarity with banking regulations, compliance standards, and collection systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Proficiency in standard office software and database management.
