The Account Manager/ODM plays a critical role in developing and managing business with Taiwan based ODM customers. This role is responsible for identifying, tracking, and driving new business opportunities, supporting new product introduction (NPI) design in activities, and ensuring strong cross functional alignment between customers and internal Molex teams. The position focuses on building sustainable, profitable growth through close customer engagement, disciplined pipeline management, and effective execution.
Our Team
This role reports to the Worldwide Account Manager and sits within the account management organization that drives strategic customer engagements. You will work closely with Applications Engineering, Product Management, R&D, QA, and Supply Chain to remove technical and manufacturing blockers and to align product roadmaps with customer needs.
What You Will Do
- Account & Opportunity Management
- Own day to day commercial engagement with assigned ODM customers in Taiwan.
- Identify, develop, and track new business opportunities across relevant Molex product portfolios.
- Maintain a healthy and transparent sales pipeline using Salesforce, ensuring timely updates and follow through.
- Analyze won and lost opportunities to drive continuous improvement in account strategy.
- NPI & Design In Support
- Lead and coordinate new product introduction (NPI) activities with ODM customers.
- Support design in processes, including requirement clarification, sample requests, and project tracking.
- Work closely with internal engineering, product management, and operations teams to ensure on time delivery and technical alignment.
- Maintain project trackers to ensure program status, milestones, and risks are clearly visible.
- Cross Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary interface between customers and Molex internal stakeholders, including FAE, PM, operations, and supply chain.
- Coordinate across global and regional teams to ensure alignment on pricing, delivery, and technical commitments.
- Support issue resolution related to quality, delivery, or engineering changes in a timely and professional manner.
Market & Business Development
- Develop understanding of ODM customer roadmaps, architectures, and key applications.
- Conduct basic market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Contribute to account strategies that support profitable growth and long term customer partnerships.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- BS/BA in Engineering, Business, or a related field (technical degree or equivalent technical experience preferred).
- More than 3 years of experience in account management, sales engineering, or design in sales within the connector, cable, or electronics industry.
- Experience supporting NPI projects and coordinating cross functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Working proficiency in English (spoken and written) for daily global communication.
- Ability to travel as needed.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
- Familiarity with ODM business models and customer engagement in Taiwan is highly preferred.
- Background in the cable and connector industry; experience focused on Datacom, AI, or Automotive applications is a plus.
- Experience using CRM (e.g Salesforce) and project tracking tools
