NDT Inspector

Experience : 3 - 12 Years

Based at below locations

Dayuan site (Overhaul):

No. 8, Hangzhan S Rd, Dayuan District, Taoyuan City, 337

Guanyin Site (Component Repair):

  • No. 528-1, Section 1, Chenggong Rd, Guanyin District, Taoyuan City, 328

RT Level 2 Inspector

Reviewing concession requests: Assessing requests for deviations from standard radiographic testing procedures or acceptance criteria.

Evaluating radiographic images: Analyzing images to determine if defects or anomalies meet concession criteria.

Providing technical expertise: Offering guidance on the acceptability of concessions based on radiographic testing results.

The RT Level 2 Inspector's expertise would help ensure that concessions are evaluated and approved based on sound technical judgment, maintaining the safety and airworthiness of aircraft components

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting Radiographic Testing (RT): Set up and calibrate equipment, conduct tests, and interpret results to detect defects in components.
  • Evaluating and Documenting Results: Analyze radiographic images, identify defects, and document findings according to company procedures and quality standards.
  • Providing Technical Guidance: Offer guidance and supervision to Level 1 personnel and trainees.
  • Improving Processes: Contribute to the development of procedures, work instructions, and standard operations to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Ensuring Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Qualification: Certified in Radiographic Testing (RT) with experience in aerospace industry applications.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify defects and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with engineers, quality teams, and production staff.
  • Current NAS-410/EN4179 NDE Level 2 RT certification required.
  • Documented hours must meet/exceed the requirements in NAS-410/EN4179.
  • RT process execution in production
  • RT LV1 on the job training oversight
  • Documentation of non-conformance and disposition relative to Engine Shop Manual and Repair Document requirements
  • Monday to Sunday, across 3 shifts
  • 6 months on-site assignment at the location.

Industry Standards and Certifications:

  • NAS-410: Certification requirements for NDT personnel in the aerospace industry.
  • ASTM Standards: Familiarity with standards for radiographic testing, such as ASTM E1742 and ASTM E2698

RT level 2 inspectors.

Support the In-Service Operations/Maintenance activities of various Large, Medium and Small Gas Turbine Aero engines.

Support In service operation and engine overhaul by providing solutions to salvage engine components.

Working in a significantly challenging work environment.

Essential Skills:

A proactive, energetic individual with:

In-depth knowledge of gas turbine aero engines, engine components and their function during engine operation/system.

In-depth understanding various damages and different salvage methods.

In-depth knowledge on part drawing reading and GD&T concepts.

Knowledge of various manufacturing/inspection/repair process, which can be applied to salvage components.

Knowledge in Engine/LRU assembly / disassembly and build shop.

Good understanding on Stress/Design/Material/Lifing analysis and substantiation reports.

Good technical writing skills in English, ability to read and interpret Technical Specifications, other engineering data related to components and system maintenance.

Understanding of various delivery excellence and quality control systems

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's/Diploma in mechanical / Aeronautical Engineering specialization with strong academic track record.

Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Aviation Engines / Turbomachinery / Aircraft product and Customer support Engineering, Design or Repair activities.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
