Role: Network Security Engineer
Experience Range: 8 to 12 Years
Location: Hyderabad/Bengaluru
Must Have:
- experience in network security engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Palo Alto Networks firewalls (or equivalent NGFWs)
- F5 Load Balancers (LTM/GTM)
- Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP fundamentals)
- Solid understanding of:
- Network security principles (VPNs, IPS/IDS, NAT, segmentation)
- Threat prevention technologies
Good to Have:
- Lead the design and implementation of secure network architectures across on-premises and cloud environments
- Define and implement network security standards, frameworks, and best practices
- Provide architectural guidance for enterprise-scale deployments
- • Network Security Engineering
- Deploy, configure, and manage Palo Alto Networks firewalls (or similar technologies such as Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, Check Point)
- Implement and maintain network segmentation, access controls, and threat prevention mechanisms
- Perform security reviews and risk assessments for new and existing infrastructure
- • Load Balancing & Traffic Management
- Design and manage F5 BIG-IP (LTM, GTM/DNS) solutions
- Optimize application delivery through secure load balancing and traffic routing
- • Cloud Security
- Work with services such as security groups, NACLs, WAF, VPNs, and private endpoints
- Ensure secure connectivity across hybrid/multi-cloud environments
- • Customer & Problem Resolution
- Engage with customers/stakeholders to understand requirements and solve complex security challenges
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority network security incidents
- • Operations & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and improve network security posture
- Automate security processes and improve operational efficiency
- Stay updated with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies
