Job Requirements
Job Purpose
To perform, interpret, and evaluate Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections on aero-engine components in accordance with approved procedures, regulatory requirements, and OEM standards, ensuring continued airworthiness and product safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Radiographic Testing (X-ray) on aero-engine components including casings, weldments, castings, and structural parts.
- Select appropriate RT techniques, exposure parameters, IQIs, and acceptance criteria as per approved procedures.
- Interpret radiographs to identify defects such as cracks, porosity, inclusions, shrinkage, lack of fusion, and internal discontinuities.
- Evaluate inspection results against CMMs, Repair schemes, OEM specifications, and aerospace standards.
- Document and approve NDT inspection reports, ensuring full traceability and compliance.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety regulations and MRO safety procedures.
- Support customer, regulatory, and internal audits.
Comply with AS9100 Quality management system.
Work Experience
Qualification & Certification
Certified RT Level II as per EN4179 / NAS 410.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or Polytechnic Diploma in mechanical.
Minimum 4 years of RT inspection experience, preferably in aero-engine MRO.
Technical Skill & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of aero-engine components and inspection criticality.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job cards, and technical drawings.
Experience with film radiography and/or digital radiography.
Understanding of NADCAP NDT requirements and audit readiness.
