The Movement Programming Manager leads the creative and quality direction of Yoga Movement's class offering across all brands. This role owns our offerings - new class styles, program concepts, internal training content, YM Academy and the standard of what great teaching looks and feels like at Yoga Movement.
Working in close partnership with the Program Performance Manager, the Movement Programming Manager ensures that creative decisions are grounded in what the business needs to grow - and that performance insights feed back into better programming. They also work directly with Teacher Managers leads to maintain technical depth and teaching excellence across all modalities.
This is a leadership role for someone who thinks in movement, leads with vision, and can translate creative instinct into a structured, executable program.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Ideation & Creative Direction (35%)
- Own the group-wide programming roadmap: new class styles, format refreshes, seasonal launches, and specialty offerings.
- Lead ideation sessions and concept development, translating market trends and community insights into new program proposals.
- Partner with Teacher Managers to ensure new concepts are technically sound and teachable at scale.
- Define what on-brand looks and feels like for each modality - and hold that standard consistently.
2. Teaching Quality & Standards (30%)
- Set and uphold the teaching quality benchmark across all brands and studios.
- Develop and maintain evaluation frameworks for class experience and teacher delivery.
- Conduct regular class audits and provide structured feedback to Teacher and Teacher Managers.
- Ensure consistency of brand experience across all teachers, studios, and markets.
3. YM Academy, Internal Training & Development Content (20%)
- Design and lead internal training programs
- Lead and own the execution and planning of Yoga Movement Academy, CETs, and workshops.
- Identify skill gaps and evolving training needs, and build content to address them.
- Own the new teacher onboarding experience from a movement and brand standards perspective.
4. Cross-functional Collaboration (15%)
- Work closely with the Program Performance Manager to understand utilization data, client feedback, and attendance trends - and use those insights to refine or evolve programming.
- Partner with marketing on program launches, campaign narratives, and class descriptions.
- Support expansion initiatives by ensuring programming is scalable and consistent across new studios and markets.
About You:
- Deep movement background with strong credentials across one or more modalities (RYT 500, Pilates cert, or equivalent)
- 6+ years in fitness/wellness, with experience in program design or curriculum development
- A creative thinker who can also build structure and process around ideas
- Strong communicator and natural collaborator - comfortable working across creative and commercial teams
