[Job Responsibilities]
- Mechanical design and packaging of fire service and plumbing components to meet the client and code requirements
- Prepare fire service and plumbing specifications, schedules, drawings and any other contract documents through the project stages.
- Manage the mechanical design delivery of projects from concept to the very end results.
- Attend progress, design team and co-ordinate meetings.
- Input to pre-qualification and selection of contractors, respond to tender queries, comment and review tender returns.
- Use engineering and design computer software to complete assigned work (i.e. Autodesk Revit MEP & AutoCAD)
- Obtain the necessary information both internally and externally from Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Design Consultants for the design to proceed.
- Liaise with clients, professional organizations, contractors, suppliers, sub-contractors and other design
- Identify and effectively meet the requirements and expectations of clients ensuring the timely receipt of information
- Monitor and control scope of work progress and issues.
- Solving technical problems that might arise on site between engineering and construction
- Experience in submitting plumbing documents for permit
[Preferred Skills and Abilities]
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience of Fire Service and plumbing design
- Experience in the specification, testing and commissioning of such systems
