Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and VPN environments
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, etc.)
- Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability using SNMP/SIEM tools
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues and resolve network incidents within SLA timeframes
- Plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions
MIS & Systems Administration
- Administer Windows Server / Linux environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Maintain and optimize databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) supporting MIS applications
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for management decision-making
- Manage user access controls, identity management, and license compliance
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Implement and enforce network security policies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, PCI-DSS) as applicable
- Respond to and document security incidents; lead root-cause analysis and remediation
IT Operations & Projects
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, asset inventories, and technical documentation
- Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and cloud solutions
- Lead or participate in IT projects including system rollouts, office expansions, and cloud migrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Network Engineering, or related field
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering and/or MIS administration
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid networking preferred
Technical Skills
- Networking: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, QoS, IPv6
- Security: Firewall administration, VPN (IPSec/SSL), Zero-Trust concepts
- Systems: Windows Server, Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), VMware/Hyper-V
- MIS/Data: SQL
- Monitoring: Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, Splunk, or similar
- Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash for automation and reporting
- Hardware: experienced in hard drive backup and hardware specs selection
Certifications (Preferred)
- CCNA / CCNP
- CompTIA Network+ / Security+
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or equivalent
- ITIL Foundation
