Role Description The Metro Power System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Taipei. This position is responsible for planning, analyzing, and optimizing metro power systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Daily tasks include conducting power system studies, performing load flow and fault analysis, reviewing and designing power distribution layouts, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as civil, mechanical, and operations engineering. The engineer will monitor system performance, troubleshoot electrical issues, support commissioning and testing activities, prepare technical documentation and reports, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The role also involves collaborating with vendors and contractors, supporting project implementation schedules, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in metro power infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge and experience in Power System Studies and Power Systems.
- Candidates should possess solid Electrical Engineering skills and understanding of Electric Power fundamentals.
- Candidates should possess experience in Power Generation and related metro or transportation power applications.
- Relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with industry standards, grid codes, and safety regulations for urban transit or utility power systems.
- Proficiency with power system analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, or similar software) and CAD for electrical design is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work on-site in Taipei, collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, and manage multiple tasks and project deadlines.
