Medical Assistant – Primary Care

We are looking for a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care office in Middleburg, FL. The ideal candidate will be professional, team-oriented, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience while supporting our providers and clinical team.
Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication information
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient care
- Perform injections, EKGs, lab draws, specimen collection, and other clinical duties within scope of practice
- Prepare exam rooms and ensure clinical areas are clean, stocked, and organized
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Assist with medication reconciliation and prescription-related tasks
- Communicate with patients regarding appointments, follow-up care, and clinical needs
- Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and other clinical office tasks as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA and Coastal Health policies and procedures
- Work closely with providers and other staff to maintain efficient patient flow
- Provide professional, compassionate, and respectful patient care
Qualifications
- Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Primary care experience is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical office
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working directly with patients and healthcare providers
