Job Description

Headquartered in Singapore, Sunnystep creates footwear that combines comfort and style, celebrating the freedom and joy of movement in every step.

We're looking for a creative, commercially driven Marketing Manager to grow our brand, attract new customers and build lasting customer relationships. You'll combine strong marketing judgment with hands-on AI and automation skills to deliver effective campaigns and help the team achieve more.

About the role

You'll lead marketing strategy and execution across digital and offline channels, connecting brand storytelling with measurable business results. This is a hands-on role for someone who can develop compelling campaigns, lead a team and build reliable marketing workflows-not simply coordinate agencies or generate ideas.

What you'll do

Marketing strategy and commercial performance

  • Develop marketing plans that support brand awareness, customer acquisition, retention and profitable sales growth.
  • Manage budgets and prioritise investment based on campaign effectiveness, customer insights and business impact.
  • Research customer needs, market trends and competitors to identify opportunities for differentiation.
  • Track performance across acquisition costs, conversion, repeat purchases and incremental sales, turning findings into clear actions.

Campaigns, content and brand development

  • Plan and execute integrated campaigns across paid media, social media, email, retail, partnerships and events.
  • Develop clear creative briefs and work with internal teams, creators and agencies to produce engaging content.
  • Maintain consistent brand positioning, messaging and visual identity across customer touchpoints.
  • Test creative concepts, audiences and offers systematically, scaling what works and improving or stopping what does not.

AI and marketing automation

  • Personally build or substantially implement AI-assisted workflows for activities such as customer research, creative development, content adaptation, campaign reporting and CRM journeys.
  • Connect marketing platforms and data sources to reduce manual work, improve accuracy and shorten campaign turnaround times.
  • Use AI to develop and test ideas while checking factual accuracy, product claims, brand consistency and creative quality.
  • Establish appropriate consent, privacy and approval controls before automated workflows publish content, contact customers or change advertising spend.
  • Monitor workflows after launch, investigate errors and measure improvements in efficiency, campaign performance and commercial outcomes.

Customer growth and partnerships

  • Work with the eCommerce team to align traffic acquisition, landing-page messaging and customer retention campaigns with online sales goals.
  • Partner with retail teams on store campaigns, launches and promotional activities that drive visits and purchases.
  • Develop relationships with creators, influencers, media and brand partners, evaluating collaborations against clear objectives.
  • Plan product launches and events, managing vendors, budgets and execution through to post-campaign evaluation.

Team leadership

  • Lead and develop the marketing team, setting clear priorities, ownership and measurable expectations.
  • Manage agencies and external partners against agreed deliverables, quality standards and results.
  • Document effective workflows and help the team adopt AI and automation responsibly.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of marketing experience, preferably in consumer brands, retail, lifestyle or footwear.
  • A track record of delivering successful campaigns with measurable customer and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of brand development, digital marketing, social media, CRM and the connection between online and offline customer journeys.
  • Demonstrated AI and marketing automation capability, supported by examples of workflows you personally built or substantially implemented in real operations.
  • Ability to connect tools using APIs, webhooks, structured data and spreadsheets through n8n, Make, CRM automation platforms, Python, JavaScript or equivalent tools. Expertise in every listed tool is not required.
  • Strong analytical skills: validate source data, question attribution, identify root causes and distinguish meaningful results from vanity metrics.
  • Sound judgment about when to use AI, when a rules-based workflow is more suitable and when human review is necessary.
  • Ownership beyond the initial launch, including testing, monitoring, documentation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, project management and leadership skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and genuine interest in Sunnystep's mission and products.
  • A degree in Marketing, Business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

It's a plus if you have

  • Experience with influencer marketing, brand partnerships and retail activations.
  • Hands-on familiarity with design, video editing and AI-assisted creative tools.
  • Experience building customer segmentation, personalised CRM journeys or creative-testing programmes.
