Marketing Assistant II (carrying the title of Sales & Marketing Assistant)
Founded in 1977, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Press (CUHK Press) is a leading English-Chinese bilingual publisher of scholarly and trade publications. We are seeking a passionate Marketing Assistant to join our team.
The appointee will be responsible for supporting the Press business operations. Duties including (a) managing the daily updating of the Press website and all online sales (b) managing the daily operation of the Press bookshop, including customer service, stocktaking, and display arrangement (c) maintaining and updating data for the Press e-book sales platforms (d) compiling and analysing sales data to support sales and marketing strategies (e) preparing and distributing new title information kits to sales channels and collaborators (f) updating the Press master catalogue on a regular basis and (g) organising and providing on-site support for marketing and promotional campaigns, including audience recruitment, on-site book sales, event photography and video recording.
Applicants should have/be (i) completed secondary education (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B) OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, Attained or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects (iii) at least 3 years relevant work experience (iv) a passion for books and genuinely enjoy working with books (v) strong ambition to achieve and grow, creativity, self-motivation, and a strong sense of responsibility (vi) attentiveness to details and a customer-oriented work attitude (vii) proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, and excellent interpersonal skills and (viii) a fast learner with a strong desire to learn about new skills, technologies and trends in the publishing industry. Fresh graduates with a Bachelor's degree and an interest in book publishing will also be considered.
