Responsibilities
- Ensuring vessels comply with all relevant maritime regulations and certifications
- Coordinate and monitor vetting inspections, class audits, SIRE, Flag State Inspections and other statutory surveys
- Approved crew assignments, conduct interviews and oversee onboarding
- Identify training needs and ensure structured development programmes are in place
- Support onboard mentoring and competency management initiatives
- Ensure compliance with ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW and other international standards
- Conduct safety inspections, manage incident investigations and follow up on safety audits
- Monitor navigational safety, pollution prevention and cargo operations
- Support voyage planning and execution to maximise efficiency and cargo utilisation
- Monitor resource allocation and utilisation for optimal operational support
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime studies, Marine engineering, Naval architecture or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in fleet operations, preferably in a supervisory/managerial role
- Certificate of competency (Master Mariner or Chief Engineer) recognised by MPA Singapore
- Familiarity with ISM, MARPOL, SOLAS and other maritime regulations
- ISM/ISPS or ISO Lead Auditor certification is an advantage
- Experience working with tankers preferred
