Minimum qualifications:

- 5 years of experience in manufacturing test development or similar role.
- 3 years of experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell Script).
- Experience in the development of manufacturing test hardware using custom electronics, fixturing, and instrumentation.
- Experience in the development of manufacturing test software.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in developing manufacturing test solutions for computing, storage and networking products.
- Experience in development of manufacturing test software and Linux.
- Experience with test scripting languages (e.g., Python).
- Ability to generate product-specific test plans and execute testing accordingly with excellent network skills.
- Ability to communicate with contract manufacturers and other stake holders globally.
- Ability to travel as needed.
About the jobGoogle's custom-designed equipment makes up one of the largest computing infrastructures in the world. The Manufacturing Operations team is responsible for providing the manufacturing capability to deliver this physical infrastructure.
As a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer in Cloud Supply Chain and Operations (CSCO), you will evaluate the product designs and create the manufacturing test processes, tools and procedures behind Google's search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you will be right there alongside ensuring manufacturing test processes are repeatable and controlled. You will collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google's infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your work ensures the various pieces of Google's infrastructure fit together and keep systems operating along without disruption for a seamless user experience.The AI and Infrastructure team is redefining what's possible. Responsibilities
- Support and travel to manufacturing partners for Manufacturing Test Development of new and existing hardware designs.
- Write test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements.Develop automated test scripts for functional test, software installation using Python.
- Design, build and deploy test platforms for Google's global manufacturing partners.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and find out the root cause manufacturing yield issues and field escapes. Drive issues to closure with preventive measures.
- Define the Manufacturing Test Strategy for new Products and works with our partners to jointly develop the required Test solutions.
