Manufacturing Engineering Manager, APAC

The hub Asia Advance Manufacturing Engineering candidate helps to work with Global Industrial Engineering on manufacturing strategies, manufacturing footprint optimization, research and optimise manufacturing requirements, design and develop systems and establish guidelines and strategies for continuous manufacturing efficiencies and productivity improvement.

The candidate will support plants in overseeing staffs operations, monitor their progress and skills assessments to identify skills and competency development. The candidate will coordinate NPI projects, engage with PD, PMM, PQS and plant team to achieve project timeline, achieved capital & operational expenditure expectations.

Major Responsibilities :

• Leadership responsibility: Managing, coaching and empowering plant Manufacturing Engineering team, develop their skillset and to identify priorities, finish tasks and project goals timely and steer focus onto relevant improvements. Expect to work across global regions and within a matrix organization
• Explore and evaluate Process Innovation function to mature plant industry 4.0 journey.
• Strategic partnership with machine builders and system integrators for advancing Artificial Intelligence implementation and machine learning capabilities in manufacturing equipment.

Requirements :

• More than 15 years experience
• Degree in Mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Strong analytical background, project management, strong leadership & communication skills.
• Mechanical and electronic component production technologies, electronics industry, Green field& brown field project management
• Plant operations ($100m annual revenue), management experience and P&L management.
• Lean manufacturing / VSM, plant experience in vertical integration, machining operations and assembly operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills. Experience with facilities i.e. physical infrastructure, maintenance, employee safety and security.
• Asia or oversea working experience is preferred
