Role Description
MIT Center is currently hiring Mandrin-English Medical Interpreters to support real-time communication between Korean-speaking individuals and English-speaking professionals in healthcare settings.
This is a fully remote opportunity with both full-time and part-time schedules available.
Interpreters will facilitate accurate and professional communication during healthcare-related interactions while maintaining neutrality, confidentiality, and high standards of professionalism.
Responsibilities
• Provide accurate interpretation between Mandrin and English in real time.
• Support clear and effective communication during healthcare-related interactions.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
• Follow established interpreting protocols and organizational policies.
• Ensure information is communicated accurately, completely, and impartially.
Qualifications
• Native or near-native Mandrin fluency is required.
• C1+ English proficiency is required.
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free workspace.
• Ability to work remotely and maintain punctuality and professionalism.
✔ Previous interpreting experience is a plus, but not required.
✔ Training will be provided for selected candidates.
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
Candidates with the following will have a strong advantage:
• Experience in customer service, call center, or communication-based roles.
• Familiarity with remote work or online communication tools.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology or healthcare environments.
