AD Energy is working in an exclusive partnership with a High-Tech Organisation in the Solar Photovoltaic industry, looking to recruit a Managing Director to support the operation.
Our client is a world-leading provider of innovative and intelligent solar products, for multiple solar market segments, with a focus on selling direct to the large EPCs and Utilities across the world. the majority of the work is C and I focussed, with some large floating solar in the mix too.
This role will be a new appointment, tasked with also growing a team, and have a significant role in consolidating the existing business ventures and opportunities in Taiwan with key clients.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Devise, manage, implement and execute sales and marketing strategy for Taiwan,
- Assist the General Manager in the field with closing new business ventures, winning projects, and increasing market share
- Identify customer and sales demands for local sales and commercial initiatives
- Monitor and track sales achievements- take corrective action if needed to reach ambitious sales goals
- Lead the current team and help grow a world class organisation
- Manage positive and prosperous business relations with solar EPCs, Developers and Utilities. Working to grow a wider network base.
- Be a brand advocate for the business- conduct competitor sales market research
- Use technical knowledge and product expertise to manage and deliver technical product and solutions training to both internal and external audiences
- Engage in product development by providing market knowledge and requirements for refinement
- Keep abreast of all the new technological and product developments: system design, new features, integrated solutions to provide advice, explanations and demonstrations for sales and commercial meetings.
- Undertake sales and technical support activities, working with the sales and marketing teams at HQ
Key Requirements and Attributes:
- Direct experience working in the Solar PV sector, experience
- Proven Sales and commercial experience in Solar, with expertise in leadership
- A strong background in growing sales channels and increasing market share of technical products
- Technically minded: the enthusiasm for and ability to understand highly engineered and complex system functionalities and explain them accordingly to a variety of customers and clients
- Client-orientated, taking an attentive approach and formulating suitable solutions
- A proactive and independent professional, who can use their initiative and work under pressure
- An ability to multi-task and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and external partners
- Rounded experience in sales, business development, support, technical and service will be an advantage
- A willingness to travel nationally and frequently to visit client sites
- An ambitious and hands- on attitude
- An appetite for learning and development
