Job Description

Position Summary

The Manager, Corporate Strategy (Content & Analytics) serves as a core analytical and strategic contributor within PharmaEssentia's Strategy & Portfolio team. This role is ideal for someone with strong problem-solving skills, excellent analytical capability, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

This individual will help build strategic frameworks, conduct deep-dive analyses, and serve as the day-to-day strategic interface for BU/Commercial teams on assigned topics. The role requires strong executional discipline, analytical rigor, and comfort working with large datasets, competitive intelligence tools, and various data vendors.

This Manager works closely with the Director to support enterprise strategy, portfolio insights, and cross-functional initiatives — and collaborates with the PMO-oriented Manager to advance the Intelligence Hub and new AI/data tools.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Framework Building

Search & Evaluation — Asset Identification and Landscape Analysis

  • Own the proactive scanning function for potential partnership opportunities across hematology, oncology, and adjacent areas aligned with PharmaEssentia's strategic criteria.
  • Regularly pull, filter, and organize data from commercial databases to surface relevant assets for the Strategy team's review.
  • Build and maintain systematic search filters and monitoring workflows to flag assets by indication fit, clinical stage, geography, modality, and deal structure.
  • Prepare preliminary asset summaries and landscape analyses to support early-stage triage discussions with senior leadership.
  • Maintain a structured pipeline tracking database covering asset status, competitor deal activity, key data readouts, and strategic relevance.

Due Diligence Data Support

  • Serve as the primary data resource when the team enters active due diligence on a target asset, rapidly compiling clinical, commercial, regulatory, and competitive information required for analysis.
  • Support diligence workstreams across multiple dimensions, including:
  • Clinical: trial designs, endpoints, efficacy and safety summaries, and cross-trial comparisons.
  • Commercial: epidemiology, market sizing, comparable launch benchmarks, and pricing and reimbursement landscape.
  • Regulatory: approval history, label constraints, agency precedents, and key regulatory risks.
  • Transactions: comparable deal structures, milestone and royalty terms, and upfront payment benchmarks.
  • Organize and maintain diligence reference files in a clean, structured format accessible to the broader team and external advisors.
  • Operate with high responsiveness during active projects; standard turnaround on data requests is expected to be same-day or next-day.

Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor the competitive landscape for PharmaEssentia's key commercial and pipeline assets on an ongoing basis.
  • Track regulatory filings, clinical readouts, label updates, pricing and reimbursement developments, and commercial performance across key competitors in the US, EU, and APAC.
  • Prepare structured competitive intelligence summaries and briefings for internal teams on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Build and maintain a living competitive tracker relevant to PharmaEssentia's commercial portfolio and strategic pipeline interests。

Execution & Deliverable Quality

  • Ensure high-quality outputs, clear logic, and crisp communication。
  • Own storyline and first drafts of presentations for internal strategy reviews, commercial discussions, portfolio meetings, and cross-functional initiatives。
  • Ensure deliverables meet Director standards for clarity, structure, and rigor。

Cross-Functional Data Aggregation

  • Translate complex data and analyses into actionable, business-relevant insights for Commercial and Medical teams。
  • Support alignment across Commercial, Medical, BD, and R&D by driving clarity and analytics behind key choices。

Intelligence Hub & Technology Enablement

  • Partner with the PMO/Operational Manager to develop the Intelligence & Communications Hub, providing the analytical backbone for strategic decisions。
  • Evaluate and recommend new data tools, competitive intelligence platforms, and AI-enabled solutions。
  • Support implementation of strategic insight systems, dashboards, and automation approaches。
  • Help shape the long-term vision for data-driven decision-making within Strategy & Portfolio。

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (MS, MBA, MPH, or life sciences).
  • 3–6 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech intelligence, scientific research support, or a closely related function (e.g., pharma business intelligence, life sciences data vendor, CRO, or strategy consulting research team).
  • Hands-on proficiency with life sciences databases; familiarity with transaction benchmarking databases is a plus。
  • Strong scientific literacy—ability to read and summarize clinical trial data, understand study designs and endpoints, and translate findings into business-relevant context。
  • Excellent data organization and synthesis skills; able to process large volumes of information into clean, actionable outputs with minimal direction。
  • High execution speed and reliability; turnaround quality and timeliness are central to this role。
  • Working knowledge of financial metrics used in pharma transactions—peak sales, rNPV, milestone structures—is preferred; financial modeling is not required。
  • Prior experience supporting due diligence processes in a data-gathering or research capacity is strongly preferred。
  • Background or interest in hematology/oncology is a plus but not required。

What We Offer

  • Direct exposure to senior leadership and high-impact strategic decisions from day one.
  • Broad involvement across competitive intelligence, asset screening, and active diligence—rare scope for a manager-level role。
  • Clear development pathway toward Associate Director and senior strategy roles within PharmaEssentia's growing Corporate Strategy function。
  • Significant ownership over building intelligence tools, processes, and infrastructure from the ground up。
  • Competitive compensation and benefits in line with Taiwan market standards。
