RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager (Project Management) to lead the planning, development, and delivery of major power plant and industrial infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for driving project strategy, overseeing execution across the full project lifecycle, and leading the Project & Development team to achieve organisational goals. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, deep project management experience, and a solid understanding of power generation, engineering development, regulatory compliance, and clean energy technologies.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement strategic roadmaps for projects in alignment with organisational goals and business priorities.
  • Lead and manage the Project & Development team, providing direction, mentorship, and performance oversight.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing work environment that supports professional growth and knowledge sharing.

• Project Management & Delivery:
  • Develop and implement project management strategies to ensure successful, timely, and cost-effective delivery of projects.
  • Oversee feasibility studies, risk assessments, development activities, demolition, construction, commissioning, start-up, and handover phases of projects.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to meet performance targets.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transition from project delivery to full-scale operations.

• Technical Development & Compliance:
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to power generation and clean energy project development.
  • Liaise and collaborate with local authorities and regulators on consultations, submissions, permits, and approvals required for project implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, quality expectations, and health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and assess project risks and develop practical mitigation strategies to support safe and reliable project execution.

• Contracts, Reporting & Department Management:
  • Prepare project specifications, manage tender and service contract processes, and support technical and commercial evaluations through award.
  • Prepare and monitor the department's annual budget, including invoice verification and payment oversight.
  • Prepare monthly reports, departmental KPIs, staff appraisals, and management updates as required.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as directed, while ensuring compliance with all company quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in project development, engineering, or delivery of power plant, utilities, or large-scale industrial projects.
• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects across the full project lifecycle.
• Experience in power generation, energy infrastructure, or clean energy project development will be highly advantageous.
