The Job

  • Act as a key compliance representative in regulatory interactions, including:
  • Routine and thematic onsite inspections, follow‑up enquiries, annual and ad hoc regulatory and internal submissions.

  • Coordinate and communicate with internal stakeholders to gather required information for regulatory submissions.
  • Review all regulatory and governance submissions, providing independent challenge and reasonableness assessment to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality before submission.
  • Provide governance oversight for AML‑related projects, including framework enhancements, policy and procedures updates, remediation programmes, and regulatory driveninitiatives.
  • Ensure AML governance practices remain aligned with regulatory developments, Group standards, and risk appetite.
  • Conduct risk assessment and regular review on specific AML attributes
  • Support the Head of Financial Crime Compliance in maintaining an effective AML governance structure across the first and second lines of defence.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholder on any regulatory submission including routine onsite inspection and annual reporting and provide guidance as appropriate.
  • Any ad hoc assignments or tasks that may delegated by senior management from time to time

The Person

  • Bachelor Degree in law, accounting or business
  • At least 8 years of compliance or control related working experience in financial institutions in Hong Kong with at least 3 years in insurance industry
  • Relevant experience in dealing with regulators, eg. Hong Kong Insurance Authority is an advantage
  • Familiar with insurance related legislations and regulatory requirements in Hong Kong and Bermuda
  • Fluent in written and spoken English & Cantonese
  • Detailed person with strong analytical and research skills.
  • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet all deadline
  • Able to work independently and as a team player
  • More experience may be considered as Senior Manager
