Role Value Proposition
Responsible for Japan Regional reporting and analysis in the Malaysia Center of Excellence (CoE). Supporting Regional Actuary on People development, related business concerns and also drives continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for Japan (VNB and USGAAP) valuation and reporting
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, and oversees the daily operation
- Execute and improve existing controls and process by leveraging AI tools
- Collaborates with peers to fully understand the needs and issues to deliver high quality solutions
- Responsible for the performance evaluation process for team members
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required
- Bachelor degree in mathematics, statistics, or actuarial science with at least 10 years working experience.
- Strong candidate with less working experience will be considered for Manager Role
- Fellow actuary, or high potential to be Fellow within two years
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to analyze, interpret and address customer needs
- Experience on AI tools and Actuarial modelling software such as Python, Prophet or Axis
