The Manager of Project Management and Business Operations for HP Workstations is responsible for leading cross-functional programs that deliver innovative workstation products and solutions on time, within scope, and on budget. This role partners within R&D as well as supply chain, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful product development and lifecycle execution aligned with HP's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Leadership
- Lead end-to-end workstation programs from Planning handoff through launch and sustaining phases
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and success metrics
- Drive execution using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid project methodologies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with supply chain, quality, marketing, and support teams
- Act as the primary point of contact for program status, risks, and dependencies
- Facilitate executive reviews, milestone checkpoints, and decision forums
Risk & Change Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, cost, and supply risks
- Manage change control processes and ensure alignment across stakeholders
- Proactively resolve issues that impact product readiness or customer commitments
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, and cost targets
- Optimize resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects
- Track KPIs and report program health to senior leadership
Process & Continuous Improvement
- Improve project management processes, tools, and best practices
- Mentor and guide project managers within the organization
- Ensure compliance with HP governance, quality, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in project/program management in hardware or high-tech products
- 3+ years of people or matrix team leadership experience.
- Strong experience managing complex, cross-functional global projects
- Experience with server, workstation, PC, or enterprise hardware products
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, Agile (SAFe/Scrum) certification preferred
- MBA or advanced technical degree a plus
