Job Descriptions:

  • Assess and underwrite life and health insurance applications within delegated authority
  • Manage case pipeline to meet service turnaround time and productivity targets
  • Handle complex and escalated cases, including medical and financial assessments
  • Support underwriting audits to ensure adherence to guidelines, identify improvement areas and ensure underwriting decisions are well documented and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements
  • Deliver underwriting training and knowledge-sharing sessions to internal staff and distribution partners
  • Participate in the review, enhancement, and maintenance of underwriting guidelines
  • Support product development by providing underwriting input on risk assessment and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure underwriting practices remain competitive and aligned with market standards
  • Contribute to underwriting initiatives, including process improvements, underwriting system enhancements and automation initiatives
  • Support implementation of initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, quality, Straight-Through Processing and turnaround time

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Life and/or Health underwriting
  • Solid experience in handling individual underwriting cases, including complex cases
  • Exposure to underwriting audits, training, or guideline review is an advantage
