The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement community engagement activities and outreach programmes to drive the Authority's strategic goals, including fostering continuous community support and facilitating the smooth implementation of assigned urban renewal initiatives
Supervise and monitor subordinates to ensure the successful delivery of work programmes, action plans and other assigned tasks
Prepare stakeholder communication materials and manage social media content to support engagement initiatives
Closely monitor local political developments and community dynamics proactively report insights and provide recommendations to facilitate strategic planning and decision-making
Establish, maintain, and expand stakeholder networks, including but not limited to Government officials, Legislative Council members, District Council members, community leaders, interest groups, to support the Authority's urban renewal efforts
Leverage Generative Artificial Intelligence (Gen-AI) tools and digital solutions to enhance engagement processes, content creation, and stakeholder interactions
Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisors from time to time
Requirements:
Degree holder in communication, public administration or related fields
Minimum 8 years full-time experience in community engagement, district administration, or relevant public policy / community development roles
Proven track record in planning and managing projects or community programmes with measurable outcomes
Extensive stakeholder networks, with a strong capability to expand and develop new partnerships beneficial to the Authority's urban renewal initiatives
Proficient in the application and integrate of Gen-AI tools to enhance work processes, stakeholder engagement, and team effectiveness
Able to work independently, with strong problem-solving and innovative thinking skills
A collaborative team player mentality, with excellent communication, interpersonal, and partnership-building abilities
Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese, Putonghua is an advantage
