Job Description

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

To manage the formulation and implementation of Lift Maderisation Subsidy Scheme (LIMSS) and other rehabilitation subsidy schemes and plans
To lead the project team for promoting and propagation the rehabilitation, as well as facilitating Incorporated Owners (IOs) / Owners in the planning and implementation of the rehabilitation works
To provide support and technical inputs in the formulation of LIMSS strategy including researching and surveying for supporting information, providing technical advice, carrying out analysis and studies, preparing management reports on findings and recommendations
To promote and propagate LIMSS and other rehabilitation schemes
To coordinate with key implementation partners and stakeholders in promoting building rehabilitation, including local community group, co-ordinators of the District Councillor's office, NGOs, Buildings Department and other government departments, professional bodies and academics, etc.
To manage consultancy contracts including supervision, monitor and audit of the consultant performance in relation to LIMSS and provide technical support for the coordination among relevant parties concerned

Requirements:

Degree holder in relevant building / construction profession or E&M engineering / building services related discipline
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. MHKIE / MHKIS / MIMechE / MCIBSE) or other equivalent
Minimum 8 years relevant work experience with at least 4 years post qualification experience in the building / construction field or E&M engineering or building services field with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
