Manager (at the rank of Administrative Assistant II) in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 533953) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of relevant work experience, including proven supervisory experience, preferably within tertiary institutions. Fluency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate good written and oral communication skills, along with strong organizational abilities. The capacity to manage multiple tasks independently, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders is essential.
The appointee will lead and provide a full spectrum of administrative support in taught postgraduate programmes. He/She will play a versatile role in leading a small team to deliver a wide range of tasks related to programme operation and student matter administration, including but not limited to admission, curriculum and syllabus revisions, and examination matters.
He/She will also take part in the new initiative of outreach for the promotion of taught postgraduate programmes. He/She will monitor market trends, student preferences, and competitor activities to inform recruitment strategies, and enhance brand visibility.
The appointee may be required to work outside office hours and on weekends, with occasional travel. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
