We are seeking for a Manager/Assistant Senior Manager, Student & Alumni Services to play a critical part in driving employability outcomes and strengthening industry integration within NUS-ISS. You will be responsible in shaping end-to-end career journeys, from enhancing student readiness to securing meaningful employment and internship opportunities, while building a strong ecosystem of employers and alumni. With a strong focus on outcomes, you will be accountable for placement success, employer partnerships, and leveraging alumni networks to create sustainable career opportunities for learners.
How You will Make an Impact - Student Relations – Create a Supportive, Inspiring Campus Experience
- Enrich student life through employability workshops, masterclasses, networking sessions, and mentorship led by alumni and industry professionals.
- Support students navigating academic or personal challenges, ensuring they thrive throughout their ISS journey.
- Drive student employability by enabling skills articulation and securing relevant employment or internship opportunities.
- Internship Placement & Industry Engagement – Shape Career Journeys
- Build and manage strategic employer partnerships to develop a strong talent pipeline aligned with industry needs.
- Drive acquisition of job, internships, and project-based learning opportunities through targeted employer engagement initiatives.
- Align stakeholders (students, employers, academic teams) to ensure programme relevance and successful placement outcomes.
- Drive employer participation in career talks, networking sessions, and hiring activities.
- Proactively address issues to ensure positive student and employer experience.
- Track and optimise placement and employer engagement metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Alumni Engagement — Grow a Community
- Drive alumni networking sessions to build and expand industry connections and opportunities.
- Facilitate alumni involvement in:
- Mentorship programmes
- Career sharing sessions
- Employer connections and hiring opportunities
- Other Duties
- Adapt to evolving organisational priorities by taking on additional responsibilities and projects as required.
What Makes You Shine
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience with strong stakeholder management.
- A passion for driving student employability and shaping meaningful career outcomes.
- Experience in career advisory, student support, alumni engagement, and internship or placement functions will be highly advantageous.
- Proven ability in relationship-building, partnerships, or public relations.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Willingness to explore new areas and topics, especially the use of AI and GenAI tools.
- Proactive and self-driven, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and initiatives.
