Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Solution Architecture:
- Own the overall solution architecture for client engagements, covering infrastructure, cloud, platforms, integration, security, and managed services.
- Design architectures that integrate legacy environments with modern cloud, SaaS, API-driven, and managed service platforms.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with non-functional requirements including performance, availability, scalability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
- Produce and govern high-quality architectural artefacts such as High-Level Designs (HLDs), architecture diagrams, data and integration flows, and design principles.
- Client Advisory & Architecture Consulting:
- Act as a trusted advisor to client senior stakeholders (e.g. CIO, CTO, IT leadership), providing clear architectural direction and technology recommendations.
- Lead architecture and discovery workshops to capture business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
- Advise clients on architecture modernization, cloud and infrastructure transformation, digital workplace evolution, and Build vs. Buy decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve, extend, or rationalise client architectures, supporting value creation and long-term client partnerships.
- Pre-Sales & Opportunity Shaping:
- Partner closely with Sales, Pre-Sales, and Delivery teams to support pipeline growth and opportunity qualification.
- Lead the technical solutioning for RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, ensuring clarity, compliance, differentiation, and competitiveness.
- Define solution scope, assumptions, risks, dependencies, effort estimation, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to support accurate and profitable pricing.
- Present solution architectures and value propositions to client stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Architecture Governance & Delivery Assurance:
- Act as the architecture design authority throughout delivery, ensuring solutions are implemented in line with approved designs.
- Provide architectural guidance to delivery teams, resolving complex technical issues and managing design trade-offs.
- Ensure adherence to architectural standards, best practices, and security principles across all engagements.
- Proactively manage architectural risks, dependencies, and technical decisions to protect delivery outcomes.
- Commercial & Stakeholder Leadership:
- Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, including pricing models (e.g. Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Managed Services) and Statement of Work (SOW) development.
- Balance technical excellence with commercial realities, ensuring solutions are both fit-for-purpose and profitable.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Delivery, Operations, Security, and external partners.
