Job Summary
Lead the implementation and user adoption of proprietary global logistics systems while managing and coordinating supply chains for major Japanese corporations.
Responsibilities
- Implement the SWIFT Integrated Distribution Information System and SWAN Global Logistics Management System in Singapore, ensuring seamless integration with shipping company systems.
- Lead training sessions and provide ongoing support to users post-implementation to maximize system adoption and operational efficiency.
- Manage and coordinate global supply chain activities for major Japanese corporations, ensuring smooth logistics operations and compliance.
- Collaborate with Japanese associates at the head office and global customers to align system functionalities and supply chain processes.
- Apply extensive knowledge of Japan Customs, shipping, and import/export regulations to ensure compliance and optimize logistics workflows.
- Initiate and drive work independently using a structured and resourceful approach without requiring detailed instructions.
Required competencies and certifications
- Proven management experience of at least 2 years in a major logistics company with demonstrated success in system implementation and supply chain management.
- Full proficiency in oral and written English and Japanese to effectively liaise with Japanese associates and global customers.
- Specialist knowledge of the SWIFT Integrated Distribution Information System and SWAN Global Logistics Management System.
- Extensive knowledge of Japan Customs, shipping, and import/export regulations.
- A self starter who is resourceful and initiates work without specific instruction in a structured and independent approach.
