Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Operations Management

Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily catering deliveries, buffet setups, teardown activities, and meal distribution programmes.

Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately, punctually, and in accordance with customer requirements.

Monitor delivery schedules and deployment plans to optimize operational efficiency.

Coordinate closely with Production, Kitchen, Sales, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth execution of catering events and daily meal programmes.

Respond promptly to operational issues, delivery delays, and customer service concerns.

Fleet & Transportation Management

Oversee the deployment and utilization of company vehicles and drivers.

Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, servicing, and cleanliness.

Ensure compliance with traffic regulations, vehicle safety requirements, and company policies.

Track fuel consumption and fleet operating costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.

Catering Event Logistics

Plan manpower, transport, and equipment deployment for buffet functions, corporate events, weddings, and institutional catering projects.

Ensure all catering equipment, serving ware, tables, tents, and related assets are delivered, set up, and retrieved efficiently.

Conduct site assessments when required to facilitate smooth event execution.

Ensure all event logistics requirements are met according to service standards.

Team Leadership & Development

Supervise logistics coordinators, drivers, logistics assistants, and setup crews.

Prepare work schedules and manpower deployment plans.

Conduct staff training on operational procedures, customer service, food safety, and workplace safety.

Monitor staff performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Food Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and company SOPs during transportation and handling of food products.

Monitor food holding temperatures and transportation practices to maintain food quality and safety.

Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements and conduct regular safety briefings.

Investigate incidents, accidents, and service failures and implement corrective measures.

Inventory & Asset Management

Oversee the movement, storage, and accountability of catering equipment and logistics assets.

Monitor stock levels of logistics consumables and operational supplies.

Ensure accurate records of equipment issuance, returns, and maintenance.

Minimize losses, damages, and operational wastage.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

Prepare operational reports, delivery performance reports, and KPI analyses.

Monitor logistics costs and recommend productivity improvements.

Support process improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Assist management in budgeting, planning, and strategic logistics initiatives.
