Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Strategy & Business Advisory

• Develop and execute the company's legal strategy in support of its international business operations and long-term growth.
• Advise senior management on legal and regulatory matters related to commercial operations, technology, manufacturing, supply chain, and other strategic initiatives.
• Monitor regulatory developments across key markets and provide proactive legal risk assessment and recommendations.

2. Compliance & Risk Management

• Establish and continuously enhance the company's legal and compliance framework, covering areas such as international trade, intellectual property, data privacy, competition law, and product-related legal risks.
• Oversee significant disputes, litigation, and other complex legal matters, coordinating with external counsel and relevant stakeholders when required.
• Identify material legal risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

3. Commercial & Cross-functional Partnership

• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership and business functions on complex commercial and operational matters.
• Work closely with cross-functional and regional teams to ensure legal standards and risk management practices are consistently implemented across the organization.
• Support strategic business initiatives and provide practical legal solutions that balance business objectives with risk considerations.

4. Contract Negotiation & Stakeholder Management

• Lead or support negotiations on complex commercial agreements with key customers, suppliers, and business partners.
• Provide practical solutions to contractual and commercial issues while balancing legal protection and business needs.
• Support the resolution of complex stakeholder matters through effective negotiation and coordination.

5. Legal Team Leadership

• Lead and develop the legal function, building a capable team to support the company's international operations.
• Strengthen legal processes, governance, and ways of working across the organization.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and business-oriented legal culture.

Qualifications

• Law degree with a valid legal qualification or internationally recognized professional legal credential.
• Approximately 15+ years of relevant legal experience gained in corporate and/or law firm environments.
• Significant leadership experience, preferably within a multinational, technology, or manufacturing-related organization.
• Strong experience handling complex commercial, corporate, regulatory, and cross-border legal matters.
• Exposure to manufacturing, technology, supply chain, intellectual property, or international business operations is highly preferred.
• Strong judgment and ability to identify key legal and business risks, particularly in complex or high-pressure situations.
• Demonstrated experience in complex contract negotiation and stakeholder management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
