Job Description & Requirements
We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support our Family Office in Singapore. The role covers investment transactions, corporate governance, trusts and foundations, and dispute resolution, with a strong focus on compliance and confidentiality. This is an opportunity to gain broad legal exposure in a dynamic family office environment.
What you will be responsible for:
- Provide legal support for equity investments and transactions, including structuring, due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and exit arrangements.
- Draft, review, and consolidate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to investments, operations, and governance.
- Assist with the setup and administration of family trusts and foundations, including periodic and annual reviews of trustee/foundation structures to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Handle incorporation, governance, and statutory filings of entities in coordination with corporate secretarial providers.
- Manage relationships with external counsel and support dispute resolution matters (litigation and arbitration), including evidence collection and case preparation.
- Perform other legal and compliance tasks as assigned by management, with a focus on confidentiality and discretion.
How will you stand out:
- Bachelors or Master's degree in Law Singapore Bar qualification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in investment, corporate law, private wealth management, or family office environment.
- Strong ability in drafting and reviewing contracts, legal reasoning, risk assessment, and cross-functional communication.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (spoken and written) to liaise effectively with stakeholders across jurisdictions
- Requirements may be relaxed for outstanding candidates.
