Join a regional business as an in-house legal professional supporting commercial contracts, corporate matters and regulatory compliance.
Adecco is partnering with an established regional business operating within the logistics and supply chain sector to appoint a legal professional to join their team.
This role provides broad exposure across commercial contracts, corporate matters, regulatory compliance, disputes and regional business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and various business functions to provide practical legal support to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to business teams on commercial, corporate and operational matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including customer, logistics, procurement, warehousing, employment and lease agreements.
- Support the business in identifying and managing contractual and legal risks.
- Coordinate with external legal advisers on ongoing legal matters and follow up on relevant documentation and timelines.
- Support corporate housekeeping and legal matters relating to regional business operations.
- Assist with disputes and litigation matters, including coordination with external counsel and relevant stakeholders.
- Support corporate transactions, business restructuring, integrations and M&A-related activities.
- Assist with legal due diligence and review of relevant corporate and transaction documents.
- Support compliance initiatives covering areas such as trade, customs, transportation and data privacy.
- Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with management and board-related matters where legal input is required.
- Contribute to other legal projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Law from a recognised university.
- 4-5 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience in private practice and/or an in-house environment.
- Experience in commercial contract drafting, review and negotiation.
- A good foundation in corporate and commercial legal matters.
- Experience within logistics, supply chain, transportation or related sectors would be advantageous.
- Strong legal drafting, negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
- Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical and business-focused legal advice.
- Able to manage day-to-day matters independently while seeking guidance where appropriate.
- Comfortable working with stakeholders across different functions.
