About the role
Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will be a key contributor, providing comprehensive legal support for our Taiwan market operations, as well as various business and customer-focused initiatives.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary legal resource for our Taiwan market, advising on key functional and operational areas, including contracting, intellectual property, and local regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with product, marketing and business teams to ensure compliance in product development and business initiatives in Taiwan.
- Collaborate with customer experience team to manage and respond to customer complaints, inquiries, and regulatory investigations related to consumer protection and privacy in Taiwan.
- Support litigation and dispute resolution efforts relevant to the Taiwan market as needed.
What you'll need
- Minimum 3 years of experience in reputable law firms and/or in-house legal team; experience working in an entrepreneurial environment a plus.
- Experience in e-commerce and/or customer trust related matters not necessary, but will be a plus.
- Flexible and hard-working, with a can-do attitude, practical and solution driven.
- Analytical and commercially minded, fast learner and tech savvy.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to take ownership and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English, with the ability to use them as working languages.
