Due to expansion, this leading investment management company is hiring an additional legal counsel to be based in Taiwan whose main duties will include:
- Advising business units on all legal and regulatory matters, including offering of registered and unregistered offshore funds in Taiwan, discretionary investment advisory business, investment consultancy/advisory business
- Negotiating contracts, including distribution agreements, investment management agreements and service provider agreements
- Assisting with new fund registration and fund maintenance/regulatory reporting/notification matters
- Advising senior management team on regulatory/legal implications of new business initiatives and ensuring compliance
- Act as the liaison point for interaction with Taiwan regulators
To qualify:
- Candidates with 4-8 years&apos PQE who are working as in-house legal counsel in Taiwan or with experience on Taiwan funds/regulatory work in a reputable Taiwan law firm would be preferred
- Strong English and Chinese language capability is essential
