The Role:
This role will work closely with sales teams, customer technology engineers in the field, R&D scientists, and manufacturing teams to develop and transfer creative and robust CMP solutions to address customers&apos needs. This role is in Hsinchu(Zhudong), Taiwan.
In this role you will:
- Utilize knowledge of semiconductor CMP process to interpret the voice of the customer (VoC) and critical to quality (CTQs) for problem definition
- Propose CMP product (slurry, pad, conditioner, PCMP clean etc.) and process to solve customer problems or meet new market needs
- Work with multi-functional teams to develop hypotheses and lead product design space assessment based on cleanroom experiments
- Plan, execute and summarize cleanroom experiments systematically designed with multi-functional teams
- Analyze experiments with statistical analysis tool (JMP) and derive conclusions with confidence
- Communicate key learning and conclusions to various partners clearly and timely
- Develop practical methods and creative engineering solutions to accelerate customer product adoption progress
- Prepare data package that defines the solution and then promote the solution both internally and to the customer
- Grow expert knowledge about leading-edge Entegris technology and products.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
- In-depth understanding of CMP process and impact of CMP consumables (slurry, pads, conditioning disk, etc.) on CMP performance
- Proven ability to work on complex projects in a team environment and lead the development of engineering solutions
- Demonstrated project management skill and knowledge of semiconductor device and integration scheme
- Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology and ability to use the design of experiment (DOE) to solve engineering problems
- Demonstrated data analysis skills using statistical data analysis software JMP, Minitab
- Critical and systematic thinking in developing solutions to a complex problem, upbeat and capable of contributing both as an individual and part of a highly interdependent team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Passion for knowing how things work and tenacious in finding answers
- Ability to rapidly switch focus and be adaptable to change
- Highly motivated and committed to continuous learning
- Working experience in CMP-related manufacturing or semiconductor fabrication is required.
- A bachelor&aposs degree in a technical subject area (e.g., chemistry, material science, chemical engineering, or related field) is required. An advanced degree is a plus.
