About the Role

The Lead, Commercial Performance is a senior strategic role that sits at the heart of how foodpanda Taiwan's commercial organization thinks, decides, and improves. Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you serve as both a strategic navigator and an organizational builder identifying the most important commercial problems, designing frameworks to solve them, and ensuring execution lands.

You will lead a diverse team spanning project management, business intelligence, and commercial enablement, and work closely with regional stakeholders to align local strategy with broader organizational priorities. You are expected to operate with significant autonomy and bring clarity to complexity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Strategy & Insights

  • Own the analytical and strategic frameworks that shape commercial direction translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that influence decisions at Commercial Director and regional leadership level
  • Proactively identify performance gaps and emerging opportunities, acting as a forward-looking strategic partner to the business rather than a reactive data provider
  • Partner with regional teams to align local commercial initiatives with company-wide priorities, ensuring strategic coherence across markets

2. Commercial Process Improvement

  • Identify structural bottlenecks across the commercial funnel and lead end-to-end improvement initiatives from diagnosis through implementation and measurement
  • Build scalable processes and governance mechanisms that reduce execution friction and raise the performance ceiling of Sales and Account Management teams

3. Commercial Enablement & Performance Management

  • Define the strategic direction for how the commercial organization is enabled covering capability building, performance management, and target-setting frameworks across Sales and Account Management
  • Ensure commercial teams are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and structure to translate strategy into consistent frontline execution
  • Drive continuous improvement in how performance is measured, managed, and coached across the commercial organization

4. Critical Project Leadership

  • Personally lead the most strategically important commercial projects from scoping and stakeholder alignment through execution, measurement, and iteration
  • Navigate regional stakeholder dynamics to gain alignment, influence without authority, and push high-priority initiatives across organizational boundaries
  • Represent the Commercial Performance team in senior and regional leadership discussions, communicating findings and recommendations with clarity and conviction

5. Team Leadership

  • Lead a diverse team spanning three functional disciplines: project management, business intelligence, and commercial enablement
  • Set clear priorities, define output standards, and develop team members from task executors into independent, value-driven problem solvers
  • Foster a team culture built on intellectual rigor, accountability, and a relentless focus on commercial impact

What We're Looking For

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, commercial operations, business performance, or a related field in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional projects and driving measurable business outcomes
  • Strong analytical mindset able to structure ambiguous problems, work with data, and build evidence-based arguments that influence decision-making
  • Genuine commercial acuity a clear understanding of how sales and account management teams operate on the ground, with the ability to communicate credibly with frontline teams and senior leadership alike
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills; comfortable engaging and influencing at VP level and above, including regional counterparts
  • Ability to operate independently with high ambiguity, while also collaborating effectively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Experience managing or developing a team, with demonstrated ability to build ownership and uplift capability

Nice to Have

  • Background in food delivery, marketplace, or platform business models
  • Hands-on SQL/Google Looker experience for independent data validation and exploration
  • Direct experience working in a Business Development, sales or account management role
