About The Team / Role Summary

Qnity delivers nextgeneration technology solutions through industryleading innovation, deep materials science expertise, and worldclass manufacturing capabilities. Within the Semiconductor Materials business, the ACST Product Engineering Model Shop supports R&D and customer evaluations by fabricating R&D samples, conducting process condition evaluations, and ensuring highquality sample preparation. The Model Shop Technician operates process equipment, prepares samples, supports evaluations, and maintains shop operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks safely following EHS and semiconductor lab safety standards
  • Prepare R&D and customer evaluation samples (dispensing, mixing, subpackaging, production support)
  • Conduct process condition evaluations and operate tools per SOPs
  • Operate and maintain lab/manufacturing equipment
  • Manage sample logistics, inventory, material movement, and documentation
  • Maintain accurate experiment records following standardized methods
  • Participate in troubleshooting, basic equipment maintenance, and process setup
  • Support continuous improvement activities and collaboration within the team

Qualifications & Preferred Experience

  • Strong documentation and data management skills
  • Ability to apply standardized evaluation methods and ensure result reliability
  • Strong communication, teamwork, multitasking, and problemsolving abilities
  • Experience in semiconductor/electronic materials labs or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience with process evaluation, equipment operation, or sample preparation a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to handle materials within defined weight limits
  • Able to use respiratory protection equipment
  • Ability to distinguish colors, symbols, and markings
  • No chemical allergies impacting job performance
  • Glasses acceptable (contact lenses not allowed in chemical areas)

Education

  • Associate degree or higher (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred)
