Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced L3 Network Engineer to join our enterprise infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in LAN, WAN, Wireless, SD-WAN, and Application Delivery technologies, along with strong incident management and project execution capabilities. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting experience, ownership of major incidents, and the ability to lead network migrations and operational handovers in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
Technical Operations and Support
- Serve as the Level 3 escalation point for complex network-related incidents across enterprise LAN, WAN, Wireless, and ADC environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical and high-severity network issues within defined SLA timelines.
- Provide advanced technical support and administration for: Fortinet SD-WAN environments, Cisco Catalyst switching infrastructure, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and enterprise Wi-Fi deployments, F5 BIG-IP Application Delivery Controllers (LTM, APM, WAF), IPAM/DDI solutions including DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability to ensure business continuity.
Incident and Service Management
- Lead Major Incident Management (MIM) calls and coordinate technical resolution activities.
- Ensure compliance with SLA, KPI, and uptime requirements.
- Manage incidents, changes, and problem records using ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tools.
- Conduct post-incident reviews and document corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and internal technology teams during outages and escalations.
Project and Transition Activities
- Execute enterprise LAN/WAN migration and transformation projects.
- Participate in project planning, implementation, validation, and production cutover activities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including: High-Level and Low-Level Design Documents (HLD/LLD), As-built documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Runbooks and Knowledge Transfer documents
- Create and maintain network topology diagrams and operational documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and client teams to track milestones and deliverables.
- Perform operational handovers and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of relevant experience in enterprise networking and infrastructure support.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet SD-WAN solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Cisco Catalyst switching technologies including: VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, QoS
- Experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers and enterprise wireless deployments.
- Working knowledge of F5 BIG-IP technologies including: LTM, APM, WAF, Pools and Virtual Servers, SSL Profiles, Basic iRules and traffic management
- Experience with IPAM/DDI platforms and network services management.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience managing enterprise incidents and coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of SLA-driven support environments and operational governance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working in ITIL-based service delivery environments is preferred.
