The Brain and Mind Institute is seeking enthusiastic Junior Research Assistants with strong organisational and interpersonal skills to support research studies on language learning across the lifespan.
Applicants should have/be (i) 5 passes in HKCEE (including Chinese & English syllabus B) OR a combination of 5 HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in NSS subjects Attained in ApL subjects & Grade E in other Language subjects preferably with an Associate's degree (ii) native command of Cantonese (iii) strong communication and interpersonal skills (iv) proven experience working with children and the ability to build positive relationships with them (v) willingness to work frequently on weekends and occasionally travel for research purposes and (vi) basic IT proficiency, including Excel, Word, and online meeting tools.
The appointee(s) will be responsible for (a) assisting with testing sessions involving infants and toddlers (b) administering assessments to typically developing children or children with Autism (c) maintaining effective communication and collaboration with participant families (d) supporting preliminary data entry and analysis and (e) carrying out additional duties as assigned. On-the-job training will be provided.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.

The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is a public research university in Shatin, Hong Kong, formally established in 1963 by a charter granted by the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
