We are a leading company in the wireless broadband communications industry looking for talented professionals with a winning attitude.
Job Description
[Key Responsibilities]
Architectural Leadership & Technical Strategy
Own the E2E Technical Vision (Solution Architect Role): Define the overall solution strategy and architecture that bridges market requirements with technical capabilities. Ensure the end-to-end solution delivers maximum value to customers by aligning hardware, firmware, and cloud services (including AI) to specific use cases.
System Architecture & Integration (System Architect Role): Define the system-level design, interfaces, and integration across all technical domains:
System Definition: Translate high-level product specifications into detailed, interdependent technical architectures for hardware, embedded systems, and cloud components.
Interface Management: Design and govern the APIs, communication protocols, and data models that enable seamless, robust, and secure communication between the edge device and the cloud platform.
Performance & Scalability: Architect the system for optimal performance, low latency at the edge, and massive scalability in the cloud environment (utilizing microservices and containerization).
Deep Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance and technical decision-making across all core domains (Hardware/System, Embedded Systems, Cloud-Native, and AI/ML).
Technology Scouting: Proactively research, evaluate, and propose new and emerging technologies (e.g., 6G, next-gen chipsets, edge AI frameworks) and potential products to maintain the company's competitive advantage.
R&D Execution & Delivery
End-to-End Project Management: Based on the architecture and product specifications, define project scope, resource allocation, engineering job definitions, and detailed execution plans to ensure high-quality product delivery on time and budget.
Process Excellence: Implement, maintain, and continuously improve best-in-class System Development Flow, CI/CD pipelines, and QA processes to streamline development, testing, and deployment across hardware, firmware, and software.
Operational Quality: Establish rigorous quality assurance metrics and processes (e.g., unit testing, integration testing, system-level stress testing) to ensure product reliability, performance, and security meet carrier-grade standards.
Leadership & Team Management
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a multi-disciplinary R&D team consisting of hardware engineers, firmware developers, embedded software specialists, cloud developers, and data scientists.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary R&D liaison, working closely with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and external partners to translate market requirements into architectural and technical deliverables.
Performance Management: Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and accountability.
[Required Qualifications]
Education: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in R&D, with a minimum of 5 years in a Senior Director or equivalent leadership role managing complex, multi-domain (hardware/software/cloud) engineering teams.
Architectural Experience: Proven experience serving as a System Architect or Solution Architect for complex, end-to-end communication or IoT systems.
Domain Expertise (Must have deep knowledge in at least three, and working knowledge across all four):
System/Hardware: Experience designing and launching high-volume networking or communication hardware products, with a focus on system integration and manufacturability.
Embedded Systems: Expert knowledge of embedded Linux, RTOS, networking protocols (TCP/IP, Layer 2/3), and performance tuning on resource-constrained devices.
Cloud/Software: Strong proficiency with cloud-native development (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, containerization (Kubernetes), and large-scale data processing.
AI/ML: Practical experience architecting the pipeline for training, optimizing, and deploying AI/ML models in a production environment (both edge and cloud).
Process Acumen: Demonstrated expertise in modern development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum, CI/CD implementation, and robust QA/Test Automation strategies.
[Preferred Qualifications]
Experience with open-source network stacks (e.g., OpenWRT, etc.).
Knowledge of telecommunications standards (e.g., 4G/5G, Wi-Fi 6/7).
Strong financial acumen related to R&D budget management and resource planning.
