Overview
We are partnering with an established financial services organisation to hire a Business Analyst / Project Manager for its Singapore-based technology team.
This is a hands-on delivery role covering both business analysis and project management. You will work across business and technology functions to improve systems supporting investment and financial-services operations, taking initiatives from initial discovery through testing and implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Engage users and key stakeholders to understand business challenges, workflows and technology needs.
Convert business requirements into clear documentation and actionable deliverables for technology teams.
Review existing processes, identify gaps and recommend practical system or workflow improvements.
Work closely with engineering, architecture, quality assurance and business teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Coordinate project plans, priorities, milestones, resources, dependencies and implementation activities.
Track delivery risks and issues, recommend mitigation actions and provide updates to senior stakeholders.
Plan and coordinate business testing, including test scenarios, issue tracking and readiness for implementation.
Support solution discussions by assessing functional requirements, system behaviour and integration considerations.
Coordinate external service providers where relevant and monitor agreed deliverables.
Produce supporting documentation and assist users during the transition to new or enhanced systems.
Manage several initiatives concurrently in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
At least five years of relevant experience in technology delivery, business analysis or project management.
Experience supporting technology initiatives within banking, investments, capital markets or a related financial-services environment.
Understanding of investment products and the operational processes that support their transaction lifecycle.
Strong experience in requirement analysis, business-process review, functional documentation and user testing.
Proven ability to coordinate technology projects from planning through implementation.
Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
Comfortable working with both business users and technical teams.
Strong analytical ability, sound judgement and a structured approach to problem-solving.
Previous software-development experience, particularly within a Java-based environment, would be advantageous.
